After my 2017 competition season, I thought my competition days were over. Not because I wanted to be done competing, but because my coach of 5 years had decided to retire from coaching. I honestly wasn’t sure I would ever want to prep again with anyone else. I still tracked and lifted like I would someday, unsure of what the future held. I started to get the itch to compete again in 2019, so I started doing some searching into coaches to see if there was one I felt comfortable with hiring for a prep. To say I have high standards is an understatement! I expect the absolute best from myself, and I expect the same from those I have on my team. I also wanted a coach that was very experienced and science based, since I am not just a Pro Bikini competitor, but I am a Nurse Anesthesiologist so science is my thing.

I noticed several of my previous teammates hiring the same coach, so I looked up his background and was very impressed with his education. I contacted my old teammates that had hired him and had conversations with them about their experiences with Peter and his coaching methods. I had already talked to a few other coaches and was down to 3 (including Peter), so I set up a call with Peter to talk over potentially becoming his client and to see if I felt like we would work well together. We talked for what I believe was just over an hour, and I was sold. His enthusiasm for the sport was palpable through the phone. He did his Ph.D. under the same professor I had for my Masters Physiology class…so I knew if he could handle working under Dr. Brice…he could handle prepping me.

I was also very impressed by his knowledge, his proposed methods for taking on my prep before the prep, and then the actual prep. I signed with Peter and started cutting at the end of 2019, took a diet break for my (2 years delayed) honeymoon, reversed after that for a few months, and then started cutting again for prep in May to compete in the fall. Peter was (and still is) incredibly detail orientated, asks lots of questions and looks at the whole picture, answers all questions thoroughly and individualizes every single plan. We had to work around some injuries…and then a freaking pandemic and gym closure…and he still made sure I had a solid plan and was able to progress. I told him my big scary goals, and he acknowledged those goals while also being honest and talking about the things we can and cannot control. He always made sure all of my questions were answered and that we were both on the same page. I can honestly say that this prep has been my best prep ever, and I attribute that to Peter (and his amazing wife Amy)! I felt my best ever during a prep thanks to Peter’s methods, and not only did I feel as best as could be expected, I brought my absolute best package ever. I also achieved my best placings ever in my professional competing career, including becoming the IPE Bikini Pro World Champion!

I am so grateful to Peter for everything over our first prep together, and now he is stuck with me for as long as I am competing.

😛

I highly recommend him to anyone whether it would be their first prep or their 20th, as his knowledge and experience is second to none. If you follow his plan, you won’t just get the results you expect, you will most likely exceed them!
