I competed in my first bodybuilding show last October, Peter had been coaching a friend of mine that was competing in the same show I was. I saw how much progress my friend had made throughout his prep and he also ended up doing very well in the competition. I decided to compete again in the spring but I was looking for a coach that wasn’t going to restrict or eliminate certain food groups throughout my prep, who was knowledgable, credible, and would work well with me. My friend as well as co-worker had recommended Peter to me as a coach for my 2016 season. I did some research and had come to find that reaching out to him was the best decision I could’ve made. I could tell right away that Peter knew what he was talking about with his personal success in the sport as well as the education/knowledge base and credibility he obtains.
Peter had told me when he took me on as a client that because of my previous dieting and not taking much of a long off season that we might have to push harder than normal, which I was fine with, but was hesitant at first because in my pervious 2015 prep I had cut food groups out which was mentally and physically hard for me to overcome. I can honestly say that with Peter’s approach of flexible dieting there was never a time where I felt like I was depriving my body from what it needed. I was still able to pull the same weight if not heavier weight even with being in a caloric deficit. As my shows got closer I wasn’t hitting as many reps or hitting my PR’s ( which is expected with being so lean and close to a show) but I was still pulling the same amount of weight had been throughout my whole prep.
He was always willing to answer any questions I had about anything, as well as referring me to educational research articles. Peter and Amy were also very helpful with posing practices, as well as tips on what I could improve on.
My first show of the season I was already coming in leaner and with a better physique than my first show last October. I competed in April at the INBF Wisconsin Natural, where I took first in my open Bikini height class, and then went on to win the Overall Bikini Division, earning me my WNBF Pro Card. I then competed in my last show of the season 3 weeks later and was coming in 4 pounds lighter than I was for my show in April. I made my Bikini Pro Debut at the NGA Heart of America Natural Classic, where I took first in my Bikini Pro Class, in my Pro Debut!
Without Peter and Amy I know I wouldnt be the in the position that I am today with my bodybuilding career, they guided me on the path to bring me in at my best physique ever for my 2016 season and I am so thankful for that. I can definitely say without a doubt that working with Peter and being apart of the FITbody and Physique team has made me have a totally different outlook on this sport, Ive gained a huge support system and friends that I will have for a lifetime because of this experience. I have much more confidence in myself mentally and physically than I have ever had before and its all because of FITbody and Physique.
